About the Journal

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Cambodian Health (JCH) is a double-blind peer review and open access journal that embraces a broad and inclusive perspective on health, recognizing the significant impact of social, economic, political, and environmental factors on well-being. In line with this holistic approach, JCH actively seeks submissions not only from the health sciences but also from the full spectrum of social sciences and related fields. This interdisciplinary stance reflects our understanding that health outcomes are deeply intertwined with societal structures and dynamics.

With a commitment to fostering diverse academic discourse, the JCH publishes biannually research articles, review articles, book reviews, commentaries, reports, and proceeding papers. The JCH welcomes contributions to fields of interest but are not limited to:

Health Sciences

  • Public health
  • Health education
  • Medicines
  • Pharmacology
  • Nursing
  • Medical biotechnology

Interdisciplinary Research

  • Food sciences and human nutrition.
  • Social determinants of health and their wide-ranging impacts.
  • Environmental changes and their implications for public health.
  • Policy and governance in health, education, and other related social issues.

Empowering Future Young Researchers

JCH also encourages students to publish their work or thesis. Recognizing the importance of nurturing the next generation of researchers, JCH has dedicated a special section within its pages specifically for students - the Student Section. This initiative is more than just a publication opportunity; it's a platform designed to amplify the voices of young researchers, facilitate their entrance into the scholarly community, and promote the dissemination of fresh, innovative ideas. We are excited to offer this platform for young scholars to share their insights, challenges, and successes, and we invite students from around the globe to contribute to the rich tapestry of health and non-health sciences research through the Student Section of JCH.

Double Blind Reviewing Process

The JCH is committed to maintaining the highest scholarly integrity and objectivity standards. To this end, we employ a double-blind peer review process for all submissions except the "Student Work" section. This process ensures that both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other, fostering an unbiased and fair assessment based on the submission's merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's themes.
